Questions

Arborist & Tree Health FAQ

My ash tree looks sick. Could it be emerald ash borer?

It could. Emerald ash borer has hit the Twin Cities hard. Signs include a thinning top, small D-shaped holes, and woodpeckers going after the bark. Our arborists can confirm what you are dealing with and give you a straight recommendation, usually removal and keeping an eye on your other ash trees.

Can a damaged or sick tree be saved?

Sometimes, yes. That is exactly why a certified-arborist checkup is worth it. If careful pruning or simply keeping an eye on it will do, we will tell you. If the tree is too far gone or unsafe, we will be honest that removal is the safer call.

Do you charge for a visit?

Estimates for tree work are free. For a deeper arborist consultation, we will tell you up front. Just ask when you reach out.
